Elk Antlers at the Wedding?

There's a good reason that I've been scarce lately - here's a clue... I found this on TMZ's website the other day, an article entitled "Bridezilla vs. Rudolph". I love the quote, "It's all about venison chic this season."!! So what do you think about elk antlers on a bride?!?

Interesting modeling attire. Venison chic huh? That actually made me laugh.

So you got married? I'm just guessing from the clue, or you're getting ready to get married?

It would not be my first choice.

I was wondering where you were. I guess I have the same questions as Arthur. You're getting married? You got married? You're following your dream and designing hunting themed wedding apparel?

So what's the scoop, Dana?

I'm following my dream of designing hunting themed weddings! *laughing* That was a good guess Kristine, but the first one was right. I'm engaged! I'll have to blog about the proposal soon but I'm sinking under the volume of planning required right now - yikes! Some details though - he proposed by tricking me into scoping for squirrels with my gun while he got down on one knee, and elk will somehow be involved in the wedding....details to follow!

Glad to hear you will be blogging about that special squirrel scoping experience.

I missed your "vexations.";)

glad to see that that buck lure worked for you. Now all you have to do is hang him over your fireplace.

Congratulations! Elk antlers are probably not a good idea if any part of the wedding or reception are outdoors during hunting season. Of course, I'm sure you wouldn't plan it during hunting season anyway!

Thanks for all the comments everyone!! I'm pretty excited about it (naturally!)! It is somewhat during hunting season (October), but it's after we go elk hunting this fall at least. It will be outside, so we really wanted the fall colors to be out. Now hopefully it's not a cool crisp October day or I'll be shivering!
